Privacy policy
What we collect through this website, why, and what we do not do with it.
This policy covers this website. Health information held in your care records is covered separately by our notice of privacy practices.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form and send us. There are two forms on this site:
- The care inquiry form on the contact page. Your name, phone number and email address, and a set of multiple-choice answers about the kind of help you are looking for.
- The caregiver application form on the careers page, and your resume if you attach one.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, social media pixels, or session recording on this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Health information: this website is not the place for it
Please do not send us diagnoses, conditions, medications, or any other health detail through this website or by email, whether about yourself or about somebody you are arranging care for.
The inquiry form is built so that you cannot. Every question on it about the care itself is a fixed list of options, and there is no free-text box anywhere on the form. That is deliberate. The most it can tell us is which of our own service categories you think you need, which is not health information.
Health information that we hold in a care record is covered by our notice of privacy practices. This website sits outside that. The companies that host the site and carry its form submissions are not our business associates, we hold no business associate agreement with any of them, and we do not route protected health information through them.
If health information reaches us through this website anyway, we delete it. We remove it from the form system rather than carrying it across into a care record, and we pick the conversation back up with you by phone, which is where that information belongs and where it is properly protected.
The same applies to email. Email is not a secure channel and we do not treat it as one. If it matters, call (267) 977-7491.
Where AI is used on this site, and where it is not
We would rather tell you plainly than leave you to wonder.
The photographs are AI-generated
Every photograph of a person on this site was generated by AI. Nobody shown is a real client, a real caregiver, or a real employee of this agency, and no image here shows an actual person giving or receiving care. That is the reason we use them: it means no consumer's face or likeness is published on a healthcare website. Alt text on each image describes what is happening in it rather than naming anyone, for the same reason.
The site was drafted with AI assistance
The wording and the code of this website were produced with the help of AI tools and reviewed by people before publication. The statements about licensure, regulation, consumer rights, and what a non-medical agency may and may not do come from the agency's own policy manual and from 28 Pa. Code Chapter 611. Those were checked against the source, not generated.
No AI makes decisions about you
- Not about your care. No automated system decides whether we can serve you, what help you need, what it costs, or which caregiver is assigned to you. People decide that, on the phone and in your home.
- Not about your job application. Applications are read by a person. We do not use automated screening, resume scoring or ranking, or AI analysis of interviews to filter applicants.
- Nothing you submit is read by an AI here. There is no chatbot on this site and no AI assistant processing your form.
If any of that changes, we will say so on this page before it changes, not after.
Why we hold it
- To answer your inquiry about care, and to call you back.
- To process your job application.
- To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to a licensed home care agency.
Who sees it
Agency staff who need it to do the above. We use service providers to deliver the website and to route form submissions and email. They process the data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not trade it with other agencies.
Equal opportunity information
Our application does not ask your gender, race, ethnicity, veteran status, or whether you have a disability. We are an equal opportunity employer and those characteristics play no part in hiring, so rather than collect that information and promise to handle it carefully, we do not collect it at all.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept only as long as it takes to answer them and, where care follows, to open your file. Applications that do not lead to employment are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Records relating to consumers and to employees are retained for the periods required by Pennsylvania regulation.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to submissions is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to retain. Email info@aalegacycares.com or call (267) 977-7491.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them through it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date below and, for significant changes, say so on the site.
